TENNESSEE
ENERGY ACQUISITION CORPORATION
The
Tennessee Energy Acquisition Corporation,
formed by the cities of Springfield
and Clarksville in 1996, is a public
energy acquisition corporation formed
and operating under the provisions of
Tennessee enabling law to provide reliable
and economical gas supply and management
services to publicly owned gas distribution
systems. TEAC is a membership
organization open to cities, towns,
utility districts, gas authorities,
and other public entities throughout
the State of Tennessee. The corporation
acquires and manages gas supply for
its members and at their request, manages
their interstate pipeline transportation
and storage business as well.
TEAC is headquartered in Clarksville.
At
this time, the corporation is composed
of fifteen (15) associated members.
These are Clarksville, Springfield,
Greater Dickson Gas Authority, West
Tennessee Public Utility District, Savannah,
Lexington, Linden, Waynesboro, Ridgetop,
Boliver, Bedford County Utility District,
Dunlap, Pikeville, Centerville, Selmer.
Officers for Tennessee Energy are Mark
McCutchen, President and General Manager;
Rhonda Wall, Comptroller; Jim Choukas-Bradley,
attorney with Miller, Balis, and ONeill,
Council. Board of Directors are:
George Hall, Springfield Gas Director
is Chairman; Robert Durham, Manager
of Greater Dickson is Vice-Chairman;
Paul Nutting, Springfield City Manager
is Secretary. Other Directors
are Mayor Johnny Piper of Clarksville,
David Nussbaumer of Clarksville, Gene
Mash of West Tennessee Utility, Victor
Lay, City Manager of Waynesboro, Bobby
Moore, Manager of Lexington Gas Clyde
Dellinger, Manager of Boliver Gas.
